Chris and I had the pleasure of getting married at the Barcelo Resort in Riviera Maya on March 15. We would both agree that this was the wedding of our dreams. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and couldnt have been more romantic.  From the moment we arrived at the Barcelo the wedding coordinator and staff did everything to ensure that we were happy at their resort. The judge, mariachi band, wait staff, photographer, DJ and videographer were so fun and true professionals! I would not have done our wedding any other way- It was Perfect!

Another reason that our wedding was so perfect was the help of our travel agent Lisa Waak - she took care of any questions we had on the front end to make our wedding in Mexico truely enjoyable.  Lisa is a pleasure to work with and will do anything to make your wedding planning as painless as possible.

When beginning to plan our honeymoon vacation, we contacted Denise at Travel Leaders who gave us information on different cruise lines, how many days to book, what to expect, different destinations, etc. Once we decided on our destinations and departure date, the booking process was very simple. Denise made everything very easy and worry free for us. She walked us through every step of planning our honeymoon and explained all the paper work so we understood everything we were paying for. A couple of weeks before we left, we stopped in to confirm all our plans and once again Denise went over all the plans with us, she told us exactly what to do and where we needed to go step by step so we didn't have to worry about anything.

We have never been on a cruise before and this has been a great experience. Our cruise went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We had such an amazing time. We visited the most beautiful places and had wonderful experiences at each stop. We met some great people that are now new friends. We were able to relax, enjoy each others company, as well as going on new adventures. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful honeymoon and easy planning experience.

My husband & I wanted an intimate, romantic, and stress free destination wedding. We met with Lisa Waak and she answered all our questions and then some. She helped us pick the spot, did all the research, and organized the event for us. She was our saving grace. We cannot say enough about how terrific she was.

Everything was exactly as we had envisioned it. We had a private reception that was elegant and beautiful. We would definitely recommend paying for a couple decoration upgrades as they really made our wedding more extravagant and romantic. Throughout the rest of our stay, the staff made it seem like our wedding day never ended.

The weather was gorgeous and we cannot wait to go back again. We are so thankful to Lisa Waak and everyone at Beaches Negril for making our dream wedding come true and for giving us the best and most enjoyable vacation.

The RIUPa lace is a beautiful, all inclusive resort.  The location was perfect for us as it was outside of town, but it only took minutes by cab or water taxi to get in to town and activities.  The beach is well kept, and although it is not considered swimmable, a swimming beach is a short 5 minute walk.  The resort had great food and a wide variety.  I am a vegetarian and my husband likes his steak.  Both of us were satisfied at every meal regardless of whether it was at the buffet or one of the four restaurants.  We had a king room that was located just off of the lobby, but still private.  The location was great for us as we were close to everything.  The resort is very large so if our room had been in one of the wings, we could have had a small hike to get to certain things.  The room was nice and spacious.  Our only comment on it was that our king sized bed was actually two full mattresses pushed together with just a thin mattress pad/sheet covering the very noticeable crack. (A real king sized bed or queen bed would have been preferred.)  There are two large pools and two small pool bars available and numerous lounge chairs.  We never had an issue getting a sunny spot near a pool regardless of the time of day we decided to lay out.  The pool-side service (along with all of the other service at the resort) was excellent and made for a relaxing trip.  Our only complaints here were that there were no pool-side bathrooms. The closest restrooms were in the nearby lunch buffet area. Also, the pools were kept slightly too cool.  Overall, our experience at the RIU Palace was the perfect honeymoon destination for us and we can not wait to go back!

Our destination wedding at Riu Tropical Bay was wonderful! The weather was great and our wedding ceremony on the beach was fantastic! Everyone at the Riu was very friendly...It was tough to come back to Wisconsin.

I really enjoyed every stage of planning our destination wedding. The travel agents at Weddings Away and Honeymoons Too were a delight to work with and provided an enormous amount of information and help! And what a blast to have a group vacation! Many of us that went on our vacation to Riu want a group vacation again every few years. Thanks for everything!
