We wanted the wedding of our dreams.  A stress-free, warm, beautiful beach wedding.  That is just what we received at the RIU in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.  The weather was great and the ceremony was perfect.  We were married in front of a gazebo right on the beach, overlooking the ocean.  It was exactly as we pictured it.  We purchased a "butterfly release," which made our wedding unique and allowed for great pictures!  When we first arrived at the resort, we were upgraded to a large suite for the whole week. 

We worked with Heidi and she was amazing.  She answered all of our questions, recommedned the resort, and helped some of our group get home after being stranded in Jamaica and Atlanta due to weather.  I wish I would have been the one to be stranded in Jamaica for a few extra days!  We had a few small children and an infant on the trip and she found the answer to all of our questions related to traveling with children.

Our overall experience was great!  We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.  Thank you, Higgins Travel Leaders and Heidi, for everything.

We wanted an intimate, romantic, and stress free destination wedding. We met with Higgins Travel Leaders; they answered all our questions and provided us with all the information we needed. They helped us pick the spot, did all the research, and organized the event for us. Our travel agent was our saving grace. We cannot say enough about how terrific she was.

Everything was exactly as we had envisioned it. We had a private reception that was elegant and beautiful. We would definitely recommend paying for a couple decoration upgrades as they really made our wedding more extravagant and romantic. Throughout the rest of our stay, the staff made it seem like our wedding day never ended.

The weather was gorgeous. We cannot wait to go back again. We are so thankful to Higgins Travel Leaders and everyone at Beaches Negril for making our dream wedding come true and for giving us the best and most enjoyable vacation.

My (now) husband and I wanted a worry free, intimate, destination wedding, that we didn't really have to plan. That is exactly what we got!!!!  We met with Heidi at Higgins Travel Leaders. Heidi was very helpful and answered all our questions. She was on the ball with everything and provided us with all the information we needed for our trip. We picked our destination and she did the rest. We had a large group travel with us and everything went smoothly. There's nothing I can complain about. We cannot say enough about how terrific Heidi was.
We stayed at a breezes resort, chosen because we had my 16 year old cousin along and breezes was for 16+. We were very happy with everything and everyone there. The wedding planners at the resort were amazing and made everything so easy and worry free so we didn't have to do a thing!!!
Everything was exactly as we had envisioned it. We had a beautiful ceremony on the beach. Afterwards they served cake and champagne, and took pictures. Then we had a cocktail party and dinner to follow. Throughout the rest of our stay, the staff made everything so great that we didn't want to leave and the weather was gorgeous, There was live entertainment and activates every night and food around the clock.  We cannot wait to go back, and we were very pleased to hear that everyone in our group felt the same way.
 We are so thankful to Higgins Travel Leaders and everyone at Breezes for making our dream wedding come true and for giving us the best and most enjoyable vacation/wedding-moon!

We were married at the RIU Santa Fe in Cabo San Lucas in January 2009. Higgins Travel Leaders in Eau Claire organized our entire groups travel to Cabo. They were an integral part of the planning process and always there with an answer to any questions we had. As a result of their expertise, we knew exactly what to expect at our resort and our wedding went off without a hitch. Our guests are still talking about what a wonderful time they had. The RIUPa lace is a beautiful, all inclusive resort. The location was perfect for us-- just outside of town. The beach is well kept, and although it is not considered swimmable, a swimming beach is a short five minute walk. The resort had great food and a wide variety. I am a vegetarian and my husband likes his steak. Both of us were satisfied at every meal regardless of whether it was at the buffet or one of the four restaurants. We had a king room that was located just off of the lobby, but still private. The location was great for us as we were close to everything. The resort is very large so if our room had been in one of the wings, we could have had a small hike to get to certain things. The room was nice and spacious. Our only comment on it was that our king-sized bed was actually two full mattresses pushed together with just a thin mattress pad/sheet covering the very noticeable crack. (A real king-sized bed or queen bed would have been preferred.) There are two large pools and two small pool bars available and numerous lounge chairs. We never had an issue getting a sunny spot near a pool regardless of the time of day we decided to lay out. The poolside service (along with all of the other service at the resort) was excellent and made for a relaxing trip.  Our only complaints here were that there were no poolside bathrooms. The closest restrooms were in the nearby lunch buffet area. Also, the pools were kept slightly too cool. Overall, our experience at the RIU Palace was the perfect honeymoon destination for us and we can not wait to go back!

Our destination wedding at Riu Tropical Bay was wonderful. The weather was great, and our wedding ceremony on the beach was fantastic! Everyone at the Riu was very friendly. It was tough to come back to Wisconsin.

I really enjoyed every stage of planning our destination wedding. The travel agents at Higgins Travel Leaders were a delight to work with and provided an enormous amount of information and help. And what a blast to have a group vacation! Many of us that went on our vacation to Riu want a group vacation again every few years. Thanks for everything!

We had the pleasure of getting married at the Barcelo Resort in Riviera Maya. It was the wedding of our dreams. The setting was absolutely gorgeous. It couldn't have been more romantic. From the moment we arrived at the Barcelo, the wedding coordinator and staff did everything to ensure we were happy at their resort. The judge, mariachi band, wait staff, photographer, DJ, and videographer were so fun and true professionals. I would not have done our wedding any other way-- it was perfect!

Without Higgins Travel Leaders it would not have been nearly as grand. They took care of the details that made our wedding in Mexico truely enjoyable.  They were a pleasure to work with and will do anything to make your wedding planning as painless as possible.
